Scope of Work: The City of Oakland (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified, experienced, and bonded firms in the State of California that are certified by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) with International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists on staff to provide the following services: 1. Scheduled tree pruning and/or tree removal citywide. 2. Scheduled grid pruning. It shall be understood that the selected contractors will be required to perform and complete the proposed landscape and/or tree work thoroughly and professionally, and to provide the labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to complete all the work promptly that will meet the City’s requirements. Contractors may be required to perform the tree care activities described at various sites throughout the City. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to safely perform arboriculture services according to ANSI standards including, but not limited to, those described here. All contractors submitting a proposal shall maintain the appropriate State Contractor’s license and will comply with all other licenses, insurance, and permit requirements of the City, State, and Federal governments, as well as all other requirements of the law.
