The City of Oakland proposes to improve the existing bike and pedestrian facilities on Harrison Street between Lakeside Drive and 27th Street and on W Grand Avenue between Harrison Street and Bay Place. The proposed improvements include Class IV protected bicycle lanes separated by parked cars and raised buffers; and improved pedestrian facilities including refuges, high visibility crosswalks, transit boarding islands, and reconstructed curb ramps to meet ADA compliance. All work will occur within existing City right of way.
