This is an estimated amount and is not a promise spend. Repairs to these fences and gate perimeters is the first step to prevent unauthorized entry, parking, or dumping. The Housing and Community Development (HCD) Department addresses housing affordability issues through its “3P” framework: Protect Oaklanders from displacement; Preserve the existing affordable housing stock; and Produce new, deeply affordable housing units. In service of meeting the goal of producing new units, Oakland is preparing to disposition surplus vacant lots with the goal to lease or sell for development of new affordable housing. The services requested are to repair the damaged fencing to secure the lots and prevent unauthorized access. The award resulting from this RFQ will be for a two-year (2) period with one (1) one-year option.
