The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to extend an invitation to you to attend a Contractor’s Conference listed below and to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for As-Needed Aquatic Weed and Algae Growth Control Services for several Department lake facilities. The intent of the Request for Statements of Qualifications (RFSQ) is to develop a Master Agreement that will consolidate all aquatic weed and algae growth control services under a single agreement. The minimum qualifications for a Contractor include the possession of a valid California Pest Control Business License; an Agricultural Pest Control Advisor License (Category E); and a Qualified Applicator’s License (Category F) as well as a minimum of three (3) years experience within the last five (5) years providing aquatic weed and algae growth control services. Additional minimum qualifications can be found in the attached RFSQ, Section 1.4, Contractor’s Minimum Qualifications. A Contractor’s Conference will be held at The Arboretum of Los Angeles County, Palm Room, 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia CA 91007, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance by the Contractor or an authorized representative is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. Contractors are strongly encouraged to submit their questions prior to, or at the conference. After the Conference, it may be impossible to respond to further questions for information. A contact list will be provided at the conference to schedule site visits. SOQs are due no later than 12 noon on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation, Contracts Division, 1000 South Fremont Avenue, Unit #40, Building A-9 West, 2ND Floor, Alhambra, California 91803. SOQs received after the initial submission deadline identified previously, will be evaluated after the initial Master Agreements have been executed. As-Needed Forensic Pathology Services

The County of Los Angeles, Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner (Department) is seeking qualified (Physicians) Forensic Pathologists to enter into Master Agreements with the County to perform services on an as-needed basis. The primary mission of the Department is to inquire into and determine the cause, manner and circumstances of all unnatural, suspicious, unusual, violent, sudden and unattended deaths. The cause of death is determined by investigation, post mortem examination and laboratory testing. Services performed by Forensic Pathologist are required in the determination of the cause of death. In order to fulfill its primary mission, the Department is releasing this Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) seeking qualified candidates who are interested in offering as-needed pathology services. Pathologists that are determined to be qualified by the Department will form a pool of eligible Contractors that may perform pathology services on an as-needed basis.
