Drone as First Responder Program
The City of San Diego (City) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors that can provide a Drone as First Responder (DFR) program for the City of San Diego Police Department (SDPD). The City is 372 square miles and has over 1.4 million residents. SDPD receives over 400,000 calls for service each year. The overlying airspace is complicated and is predominantly covered by Class B airspace. Additional Class D airspace is prevalent throughout the City.
