Issued By:Ruby Sifflet-Hill Phone: 510-238-7560 Email: rsifflet-hill@oaklandca.gov The City of Oakland Environmental Services Division of the Public Works Department is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Recovered Organic Waste Products Procurement Brokering “Brokering Services” and SB 1383 compliant reporting on the provided Brokering Services to meet the City’s SB 1383 requirement for annual procurement of recovered organic waste products. Compost or composted mulch is to be sold or otherwise provided to a Direct Service Provider (as defined by SB 1383), to be applied to crops, landscapes, and gardens in California to take advantage of the regional carbon sequestration benefits of compost application. The successful respondent will provide all necessary reporting to allow the City to be fully compliant with all applicable State Laws and CalRecycle requirements. The resulting contract will be for a period of one (1) year with an option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, at the sole discretion of the city. The total contract value is estimated to be $250,000.00 inclusive of any optional years if exercised. The City of Oakland makes no guarantee as to the dollar value of orders to be authorized pursuant to the award of a contract. This Request for Quotation and any subsequent contract award will be in strict accordance with the documents identified herein. Offeror should check and be sure that they have received all documents and should follow the instructions contained within this RFQ when preparing their bid. Please avoid mistakes.
