It is the intent of the City of Oakland, Oakland Public Works Department (OPW) to establish multiple on-call contracts to provide a wide range of professional solid waste and recycling consulting services, on an on-call basis, related to the management and administration of its three (3) exclusive franchise agreements, the administration of Construction and Demolition (C&D) debris collection and transportation requirements placed on C&D debris haulers, the administration of C&D debris waste reduction and recycling requirements placed on building permit holders, the implementation of a non-exclusive permit system for collection of recyclable materials from businesses by third party haulers, planning and implementation of programs to comply with Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383), and other tasks.
