RFQ FOR ON-CALL SMALL SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

The City of Oakland (City) seeks qualifications from Oakland certified business enterprises in order to establish a pre-qualified list of local businesses to perform small sidewalk construction contracts. The small sidewalk contracts will be priced low enough to give small contractors an opportunity to work as prime contractors on City projects, help them grow their contracting businesses. The City seeks Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from licensed contractors interested in providing on-call construction services for sidewalk construction. Small businesses are highly encouraged to submit their SOQs to be included in this pre-qualified list. SOQs must be submitted in accordance with the requirements set forth in this document. The City will then establish a pool of pre-qualified contractors possessing the required license(s). As specific projects arise, task orders will be offered to pre-qualified contractors on a rotational basis. Task orders will reflect stipulated unit pricing. Potential projects involve sidewalk removal and replacement, tree root pruning, stump removal, curb and gutter replacement, and other associated work.
